Traffic Citations & Driver's Safety School Information
Your Options
Upon receipt of a traffic ticket for any violation where points may be assessed,
you have 30 days from the date of issuance of the ticket to exercise any of one of three options:

Pay Online or by Phone If you choose to pay the ticket, points are assessed against your driver's license. |

Go to Driver Safety School
You may attend the school in person or take the online school (if you haven't attended one within the last year). No points are assessed against your driver's license if you attend a driver safety school.
Attending Driver Safety School at the DeKalb County Courthouse:
Cost: $181.00
Cost needs to be paid by the Wednesday before the assigned class.
We will accept cash, personal check, money order, debit/credit cards, etc.
Class is the first Thursday of every month beginning promptly at 5 p.m.
Be at the Courthouse 15-20 minutes before your class starts to check in with the Circuit Court Clerk’s office. The courthouse doors will be locked at 5:05 p.m.

Give/Mail your certificate from one of the schools listed above and cost of $181.00 to the Circuit Court Clerk’s office
*You will have to pay for the online course with the above mentioned coupon. The $181.00 will cover the court costs.
