Court Clerk's Duties ...
Serves as clerk of and keeps records of the county legislative body. Minutes of county commission meetings are required to be promptly and fully recorded and open to public inspection. Collects business taxes, handles motor vehicle registration and licensing. Issues marriage licenses. Keeps a record of the notaries public. The office of county clerk is mandated by the Constitution of the State of Tennessee.
