At the Appalachian Center for Craft, a satellite campus of Tennessee Tech University (TTU), students explore diverse options in professional craft studies. The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is the centerpiece of the Craft Center's academic programs.
The Craft Center promotes excellence in American craft by teaching tradition and innovation in technique, concept and design. The Center provides access to the highest quality craft education, professional artists, and career opportunities.
It offer students the option of five Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or Craft Certificate concentrations: clay, fibers, glass, metals and wood. Their BFA program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Every fall, on the last full weekend in October, when the color is breathtaking and there is a certain crispness in the air, the artists of Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour in beautiful DeKalb and Cannon Counties of Middle Tennessee open their studios for a free three day open studio event. Celebrating its 19th year in 2018, the tour has grown to include 14 stops with 29 participating artists. Artists will be demonstrating their craft mediums and offering handcrafted shopping opportunities at every stop on the tour.
