ADA Grievance ProcedureDeKalb County has established the following ADA Title II Grievance Procedure to comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This procedure may be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of county services, programs, or activities.
How to File a Grievance A grievance should include:Your name and contact informationThe date of the issueThe department or location involvedA description of the problem or barrierGrievances may be submitted by mail, email, phone, or in person. Assistance is available upon request.

Process The ADA Coordinator will acknowledge receipt within 15 calendar days.The grievance will be reviewed and investigated.A written response will be provided within 30 calendar days, explaining findings and any actions to be taken.

Recordkeeping All grievances, responses, and appeals will be kept on file for at least three years, as required by federal regulation.
