DeKalb County Budget Reports
The annual budget is the most important policy decision made each year by the Board of Commissioners. The mission of the Commissioners is to ensure that the County's operating budget is in balance and that the County allocates resources in a manner that is consistent with the goals and objectives of County departments.
DeKalb County's budget corresponds to a fiscal year that begins on July 1 and ends the following June 30. The budget allocates the county's resources (revenues) among the various county departments and directs spending (expenditures) to achieve the strategic priorities of the county.
On Monday, July 24, 2024, the DeKalb County Mayor and Commission approved the budget for the fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025).
