Falling Water – Sunny Point
By 1852, Falling Water had a school and a Church of Christ, both of which were named Sunny Point. The community was mostly referred to as Sunny Point rather than Falling Water, which referred mainly to a section of river. The school was right at the mouth of the river.
Some of the early settlers were the Bozarths, a large family whose roots can be traced back to Levi Bozarth. Other early settlers include James Dildine, John Robinson and James Elrod. Tyree's Mill was located there both before and after the Civil War.
