DeKalb County offers its resident 12 locations throughout the county to dispose garbage with a variety of hours. Convenience sites will accept garbage from DeKalb County residents or property owners with proof of ownership. The sites will take household garbage or small amounts of other items.

No brush or grass clippings are allowed in containers due to fire danger.

No trash may be left on ground or outside gate.

Appliances may be deposited at Alexandria, Snow Hill, McMinnville Highway and Transfer Station.

No more than four tires are accepted at one time at most sites. More than four tires will be accepted at $1.50 each. State law requires that a record be kept of tires received. Commercial tire shops with tire tax numbers may bring tires to the trailer at Snow Hill, McMinnville Highway or Felts Road Landfill.

The DeKalb County Landfill will bring 30-yard containers to contractors or clean-up sites, when available, on a first come – first serve basis. The cost of this service is $200 for a one time delivery of container, which includes pickup when emptied, plus $60 per ton of debris. Containers may be kept up to two weeks only. Each time you need the container back there is a $200 delivery and pickup charge, plus $60 per ton of debris. There is a $100 late fee per week after two weeks. An application agreement must be signed before delivery with location, person who is responsible for payment and other arrangements such as delivery. We reserve the right to inspect site location and to determine safety of delivery before agreement.
