The DeKalb Animal Shelter is operated by the DeKalb Animal Coalition for the Humane Treatment of Animals, a 501(c)(3) organization. Working with the City of Smithville and DeKalb County, the Coalition opened the shelter in 2017.
Our purpose is to provide a low-kill animal shelter to serve all of DeKalb County so neglected or abandoned animals may receive medical attention, be spayed/neutered and cared for until an adoptive home is found. Please refer to our website at www.petstn.com and our Facebook page to view adoptable animals, ways to volunteer, donate and upcoming events. Our website also contains information for assistance with spay/neuter costs. |
